Tulsa, OK | Boston Avenue Methodist Church 2
A closer examination of the sculptural guardians integrated into the façade. Each figure is rendered in angular planes and fan-shaped halos, emblematic of late 1920s–early 1930s Deco interpretation of human form.
The compression of perspective accentuates height and authority. Vertical ribs and carved panels create alternating bands of light and shadow, reinforcing the building’s upward momentum.
