Birds
Color and Character in Flight
Birds bring movement, color, and life to the landscapes they inhabit. This collection from Falcon Pass Studio presents a series of focused avian studies drawn from wetlands, coastal habitats, and open landscapes across several regions of the world.
Rather than distant wildlife scenes, these works concentrate on the character and posture of individual birds—capturing moments of flight, stillness, and watchful presence. From the vivid plumage of the Lilac-Breasted Roller of the Serengeti to the elegant forms of egrets and herons along the Gulf Coast, each study reflects careful observation of both species and environment.
Many of the subjects were photographed in the quiet margins of coastal estuaries and tidal flats, where light, water, and movement constantly reshape the scene. The compositions isolate the bird within its setting, allowing form, color, and gesture to take center stage.
Created from original photographic studies and rendered with a watercolor aesthetic, these works highlight the subtle interplay of wildlife, habitat, and light.
Together, the collection offers a visual record of birds encountered across different landscapes—small moments of the natural world observed with patience and care.
