Bridges

Iconic Bridges and Landscapes

Bridges are among the most expressive forms of structural design—where engineering necessity meets landscape and architecture. Whether spanning rivers, canyons, or coastal cliffs, these structures create both physical connections and powerful visual landmarks.

This collection from Falcon Pass Studio explores bridges as architectural subjects, capturing the interplay between structure and setting. From the graceful arch of California’s Bixby Creek Bridge along the rugged Big Sur coastline to the monumental sweep of the Golden Gate Bridge at the entrance to San Francisco Bay, each work studies how these structures inhabit their landscapes.

The collection also includes quieter historic crossings such as the Flume Covered Bridge in New Hampshire, alongside canal bridges from historic European cityscapes—each representing a different tradition of bridge design shaped by geography and era.

Created from original photographic studies and rendered with a watercolor aesthetic, the works emphasize both the structural geometry and atmospheric surroundings that make bridges enduring visual icons.

Together, the pieces form a curated exploration of how human design meets the natural world—where structure, landscape, and movement converge.
